Probably should say off the bat that this is the first draft of a project for college. still a lot of work needed but any feedback is appreciated. Is it too easy? Too boring???
Gimmie Shelter is a game inspired mainly by the recent media panic over the economic turn-down. The character was inspired by the name of a band I used to be in many years ago. Beggarman Joe, the luckless and down-trodden everyman lead, is suddenly made redundant and kicked to the pavement. He heads home to discover that the bank has collapsed and he is also homeless and desperate. Left with just the office cactus, all Joe wants to do now is find somewhere quite to sleep for the night.
Cool game. My feedback would be that it's a bit annoying having to spend so much time so close to the viewable edge of the screen as it scrolls and you run into who knows what just barely in front of you. A bit stressful even. Otherwise looks like a good start. Sound would be a nice addition when you get to it. Thanks for sharing so far!
