- Upload
- Animation won't play? Frustrating, isn't it? Let's take a look at the basics.
-
In order to play your animation on MyToons, you will definitely need Flash Player 8.
-
As far as your internet connection is concerned, you will need either Firefox 2 or Internet Explorer 7 (or a more recent version). Opera and Safari also work, though we are still working to make them more compatible.
-
Do you have dial-up? If so, that may be the problem. Dial-up connections are typically slow, and struggle with large amounts of content such as an animation video.
-
Did your animation stop mid-play and leave you hanging? Argh!! It could be your bandwidth. Again, video requires a high-speed internet connection to work properly. If that is not the problem, contact us and let us know – we'll try our best to help you!
-
Tick, Tock…..Is your animation taking FOREVER to upload? Again, this could be your bandwidth. Video files contain a lot of information. A high-speed connection is a must. Also keep in mind what time of the day it is; internet traffic is higher at certain times of the day – you may just be stuck in rush hour traffic. If it's unbearable, you might want to try one more time – just keep an eye out for duplicates of your upload.
-
Trouble with sound? Let's start with the basics: do you have a soundcard? Have you heard sound on your computer before? Are your speakers or headphones plugged in, and do you have the volume up? Hey, we’ve all been there. There's also a chance your file could be corrupted – no problem, just try uploading again.
-
Why is my animation choppy when it plays back? There are a few reasons this might be happening to you:
- How many applications are you running? Too many applications in use may be too much multi-tasking for your computer’s brain and cause your animation to play back choppily.
- How fast is your internet connection? Again, too slow of a connection may be your problem.
- Remember what we just said about traffic? It may be another case of rush hour.
- Reuploading your file may also help. If you come across a duplicate of your file, we suggest you delete one copy as soon as possible. This way, your fans aren't confused when they view and comment on your work.
-
Why is my Art not showing up? You may have simply had a burp in your internet connection that was enough to confuse your computer. Delete any “invisible” Art, and try again.

Once there, simply click the “Edit” button to the right of the “Standard” design, scroll down, and “Save Changes.” Voila!
