What is your policy on copyright infringement?
We take this subject very seriously and respect the rights of publishers and copyright holders. MyToons requires that all community members hold the copyrights or have permission from the copyright owner before posting copyrighted images and animations. Images designated for Public Use are, of course, permissible according to copyright laws. If MyToons receives a notice that content infringes on another party's copyright, the content will be removed from MyToons. In addition, any member who uploads copyrighted material risks termination of their MyToons account. For more information on MyToons' copyright policy, please see our Copyright Infringement Policy.

Do I need to report copyright infringement? If you feel that someone else violated your copyright and has uploaded your material without your permission, please see our Copyright Infringement Procedure.

How do I report copyright infringement? To report what you believe to be copyright infringement, please see our Copyright Infringement Procedure.

What is MyToons doing to prevent copyrighted material from appearing on the site? MyToons serves as a comprehensive support system for animators and artists, and, as such, takes copyright and copyright infringement very seriously. When users join MyToons, they expressly acknowledge copyright laws and agree to abide by them. MyToons states explicitly that users must own the copyright to any content being uploaded unless it falls under public use, and MyToons reinforces this at the time of upload. If you believe that your copyright is being infringed upon, please see our Copyright Infringement Policy, and we will resolve the issue. MyToons was established to encourage and support creativity and original content, and we believe that copyright protection is an important part of helping artists feel relaxed and safe enough to create.

What if I have been wrongfully accused of copyright infringement? Don't worry; we will notify you if we receive any copyright complaints about any of your animations or art hosted on MyToons. If you believe you have been wrongly accused, you will have the opportunity to file a DMCA counter-notification.

What is a DMCA counter-notification? This is basically your turn to defend yourself if you are accused of copyright infringement. Please see our Copyright Infringement Document for a complete list of the required items and contact information.

How do I report animations, art, or other content that is inappropriate? It's easy; simply click "Flag This Item" in the upper right-hand corner above the animation player or art and MyToons will be notified. Please follow our Terms of Use policy for the definition of what we consider to be inappropriate.

How does MyToons handle inappropriate content? You, as a part of the MyToons community, offer great support in maintaining the positive atmosphere of our site. Our community understands and appreciates the MyToons Terms of Use policy and the values of integrity, trust, and camaraderie that this artistic community is built upon. Furthermore, MyToons employs state of the art proprietary technology in effort to support and maintain our community standards.
