Dia de los Muertos is behind us, which marks the end of the Creepy Cartoons Contest – great job to all who uploaded your spine-tinglingly eerie animations and artwork!
Out of all the artwork and animation featured daily, the powers that be at MyToons - all bloggers aside - have chosen a winner to take home Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (2-Disc Collector’s Edition + Digital Copy) and the Nightmare Revisted Soundtrack CD.
Give it up for rajulez! His Edgar Allen Poe-inspired Masque of the Red Death combined creepy with creativity – a job well done!
As a die-hard Poe fan, the writer of this blog entry must disclose a certain degree of bias before she states her affection for this animation. With a solid story, an ominous voice-over, and a lithographical twist of Where the Wild Things Are, this animation has a magical through-the-keyhole feel about it that is just perfect for the closing days of October. Well-done rajulez.
Have your own closing remarks for this eerie month and the fast-approaching All Hallow’s Eve? Serve it up scary at the MyToons Creepy Cartoons Contest…and then watch cartoons with the lights off.
