Furnick:
The long and lanky, curious not cranky "Furnick" attempts to warm an egg and instead warms the hearts of animation fans around the world. A huge hit with MyTooners, several users joined in the conversation: jorgem shares, "Love it! Whenever I want to laugh I just come and view this animation. I love it!" and tillie adds, "sweeeet. He's got some great fur layers going on there. Nice stretching, too." That fabulous fur was no easy feat – all hand animated, evadceivorus shares his trade secrets, "He is basically a sphere with 4 of the rings extruded. Those extrusions have a hand painted fur texture on them and then I control each of those rings with a cluster. Here's the trick now...you only need to animate one of the clusters and copy the animation from that onto the others and offset them." David J. Suroviec, 23, has recently taken a rather large leap across country, "I just recently moved to the west coast all the way from Erie, PA." He works in Redwood City as a Technical Artist for Crystal Dynamics, the makers of Tomb Raider. In addition to fashioning fascinating animation, David enjoys drawing, playing sports and guitar, dancing, and singing – the last of which he sharpens in the shower, "It's the only time when I can practice," he explains. Seeking inspiration the likes of Suroviec? His favorite movies include animated classics such as Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Monsters Inc., and the warmly-received Ratatouille. Hungry for more? Fruittoons:
If a family that plays together, stays together, then the Furrow Family is riding the swingset to success! James, Elizabeth, and Sarah Furrow worked together to create "FruitToons," a deliciously demanding project, starring the Kitchen Collective of Celery, Carrot, Bananas, Potatoes, Apples, Corndog Sticks, and Peanut Butter. The Furrow Family teamed with Flash and AfterEffects to craft this clever culinary creation, much to the delight of the MyToons Community as expressed by edtobtay, "Ingenious. This is ingenious in its simplicity. Not that simplicity is simple to do! Like it very much," and Gunwalls, "arrr, you be making some yummy animation!" Dying for a taste? If the Furrow sisters are anything like their brother James, then they are quite the trio! James, 18, fancies Flash, and Video Production, along with just about any type of design you can cook up – 3D, Web, Graphic – the list goes on! Inspired by "uber strangeness," James enjoys guitar and music by Dark Vox, as well as making people laugh; "I'm a rather random weird guy...I like creating things that make people laugh... !
