Fairy Tales

Nick, I've always thought fairy tales, legends and suchlike work extremely well in stopmotion. s it because it's a more naive seeming medium - like comics?
Thanks for sharing that

framerate

Thanks guys for all the nice comments!

antoniolin - I shot on ones at 25 fps. I uploaded it from a Quicktime with very little compression (H264), PAL 720 x 576 letterboxed, but Mytoons compresses it before uploading.

I captured on my 5 year old Pentium 4, 3 GHZ, 1 MB RAM computer, but did most of the compositing and editing on a Mac G5 with 4 times the RAM.

On my office computer, playback of this film is jerky.  It seems to have dropped the framerate to 12 fps, and  freezes and jumps a few times.  I'm glad to hear it plays better on faster computers (or faster broadband than we have in Australia)!

I haven't had the spare time to do new film yet. Maybe next year, now that I've had this encouragement.

a technical question...

Hi, congratulations! Wonderful film.

I was curious about a detail: the framerate in your video is very smooth, and quality is fine too, unlike many here in Mytoons, including mine. In which format/codec did you upload the file? Or are you using a super fast computer...

Anyway, congratulations again!

Superb

You my friend are a great story teller. The story was instantly recognizable and the way you portraited it was simple, powerful and elegant.
