http://uni3d.com/ - This is a short film created by two students from the University of Colorado - Denver. It's a full dome short designed with viewing at a planetarium in mind , with this being a cropped section from the original 1600X1600 render. This short is of a paintball factory with an accident sending everything into chaos, with a handful of effects that play with fulldome viewing of films. It played as part of Domefest 2007, winning a domie award and touring as part of the sleected show.
Yeah, given that when viewed on a dome, you ARE the camera the motion had to be nice and smooth. If you guys get a chance to see this on a local planetarium it truly is a different experience entirely. (And it IS touring as part of Domefest, and available for fulldome theatre for free)
Nice, I love the start when the plastic things you walk threw (not sure on name) get moveved, was good job there. Nice camera angle, and good modeling.
