Loved the story (and Manny's joke, no matter how stupid). Also, why does the devil remind me of a mix of Richard Nixon, Ronald Regan and Bob Hope? Am I just going crazy? (don't answer that).

Thanks for sharing that Jim! Really good shew... something familiar about that devil.
Hell of a lot of puppets and set-ups in that. As a fellow stopmotion filmmaker I can appreciate the massive amount of work in this film.
The only set that didn't quite work was the upright fence palings for the galley slave sequence - a curve would have been nice, but even using horizontal boards would have sold it as a ship interior. But the story carried it anyway.
I liked the main character - he may be a crap comedian, but he got more than one laugh from me. I'm glad you finally paid off with the end of his joke!
