The Kevster picked it - wings need to spread out to flap down, fold up a little to flap up. Either make each wing in 2 pieces, or add bones so they will flex. Also you could move the pivot point of the wing out closer to the outside of the body, it seems to be moving up and down through the body as it pivots from the centre.

But I like the feel of the scene with all the pteros crossing in different directions, the background, the screeching.

I think you should go back and really nail the flying action with just one pterodactyl, then put it all together.

I feel for you, I did monkey screeching for a sound track once, lost my voice too after half a day of it!
