Strengths – This is the first animated design that I have critiqued without so many comments so thumbs up for that. However that comment did not relate to the watch itself. A strength is any schmo would be able to tell the time instantly. Almost everyone in the world recognises numbers so universally this watch could be used anywhere. It certainly catches the eye too which is a good thing for a watch, because a watch is a part of your profile it simply does not tell the time, a watch should reflect your personality and status. This watch will reflect someone’s individuality.
Weaknesses – Unfortunately it does not tell real time, we cannot see the time pass by i.e. No second hand, however I can see how you could use the numbers animated in the circle to show it.
Recommendations – Since you have some flashing bright colours you should change the original watch face from black to another warm bright colour.
Conclusion – One you get the watch to fully function it would be good. The use of numbers is rare for this project, everyone has moved away from that convention – you could be individual and keep the use of them.

Peer crit

Strengths
Simple and effective
Has a sense of fun to it, upbeat and exciting
Easy to tell the time

Weaknesses
Obviously doesn’t tell real time, or count the seconds
The font is too generic, a cool sans serif font could make it look much cooler, without really having to change it
Is pretty simple, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing

Opportunities
You need to integrate seconds into it somehow
Good luck!

Peer Crit with da hats

Red (emotion): Yeah! Badda-bing badda-boom. Very interactive and expressive. I like the movement and the anticipation of finding out what the time is. White (facts): Executed properly and is functional, but not linked with real time. No directions, but doesn't need them. Yellow (positives): Easily understood as a clock. Playful and professional. Black (negatives): Kind of similar to a normal clock and a little simple. I want to know what the four means. Maybe put some instructions describing it (date, day of the week, month of the year) Green (creativity): Creative way of giving the digital time. It's very engaging and reminds me of the energy an advertiser would use for a cool commercial of Friends. Blue (summary): Overall pretty cool. More fun than different, but easily read. Keep the anticipation at the length it's at and not any longer. And the amount of time given to read the time is just enough. Good job!
