Strengths
- original concept for representing/displaying the time
- impressive actionscripting! It must have taken some tweaking to get it to work like that.
- includes an AM/PM indicator
- minutes displayed in blocks of fifteen make it easy to read at a glance
Weakness
- Visually the watch design is fairly chunky
- The color scheme is bland
Opportunities
This watch has a well thought out and original concept for displaying the time and the actionscripting to back it up. The only drawbacks to this watch relate to its visual design and can be easily improved. With a new color scheme and some streamlining this watch will be very cool.
Pros: The design and interface are very creative and would have taken some time to work out. The attention to detail is amazing with all the leavers. I'm not sure if this is working in real time or not but the basic animation give us the gist to how the watch works. Your explanations are very helpful in understanding the concept to the watch and on first glances the watch also looks very appealing. Original and creative design. I really like it.
Cons: Hard to tell the time at a glance. It looks very chunky and heavy. 5 minute counting blocks a bit annoying. No alarm or time adjustment are able to be made and if they are it looks very complicated. A bit more colour to the design would make it look a bit better.
Summary: Overall the idea and design are both looking and coming along nicely and cant wait to see the final product.

pros: the clock is an awesome design and I would defiantly wear it. Its an original and unique idea which has and easily understandable interface. The production value is good and attention to detail has been shown, like the little lever that the seconds ball falls past and clicks over to push the other seconds ball. technically the clock is also well designed, as most of the balls move at the right time. There is still a bit of scripting to be done for the hour balls but you should not have much trouble seeing as what you have already produced.
cons: The watch is a little chunky which some people may not like. There is no way to set the time which is a necessity for every clock. you have to estimate what minute it is which can be confusing for kids.
recommendations: Add buttons to set the time. add some kind of way to tell what the minute is, e.g. a couple of markings on the side for every 5 minutes or so.
overall: its a good looking watch in the ways of design and uniqueness. It would be a good watch for a teenager because of the design and its quite easy to tell the time with the ball system you have created. the scripting still has to be perfected for the hour balls but you seem to be skilled with scripting so it should not be a problem. good job.
Very cool, if a little unwieldy. I like the metallic look you've got going, as well as the mechanical type design. It is easy to get a general idea of what the time is but the design doesn't really allow for exact measurement of the time, even though it displays it accurately it's hard to figure out exact numbers.
Assessment criteria:
• Creativity in representing the time. - Very creative, original.
• Production values of the visual content. - Good production value, could do with a bit of cleanup and perhaps a shinier face.
• An accurate representation of the time. - Technically accurate, though hard to read.
• The effectiveness of the interface. - Effectively tells the time, visually striking, when the hours work it will be good.
• Technical skills with Flash animation. - Animation is basic (still waiting on hours) but doesn't need to be too complex to achieve a good result in this case.
• Technical skills with Actionscript programming. - Takes a good level of scripting to get this working correctly, well done.
Suggestions: If this were to work as a watch I would suggest maybe making the outer three balls linked by a chain which drags them along rather than having one free fall, one be pushed and one just sorta float. Also a shinier interface would be nice but otherwise is very cool.
