This is a progression of tests working towards a dynamic breaking wave designed for a simpler type of animation. The scene was set up in Maya, and simulated using Real Flow. The final tests used over 500,000 particles, with the simulation taking over 24 hours.
The first guess would be correct! It''s all set up, worked with and rendered in Maya using Mental Ray. as for all the simulation/fluid motion; that's the handiwork of RealFlow.
Wow, a daily feature, At first I was a bit surprised with the class project getting it, then my own concept work! Thank you, I'm glad you guys have been checking it out! :) I do plan to make a more final version with much higher accuracy (and particleds), than create a tutorial, so this can be remade by anybody with enough time!
