Synopsis:
Just waking up from his nap Layne peacefully plays in his crib. His attention is short and he soon begins to realize that he is alone. Something enters the room.
Compared to my other animation works, Baby Layne is something completely different. I wanted to make an animation documenting the unusual connection between my one-year-old nephew and his dog Styer.
Baby Layne took me fifteen weeks to make. I laughed and cried as I made this piece. There are so many unknown elements when making a Stop Motion Animation not even I could have prepared for them. I would spend hours and hours on one camera angle and realize I had only shot 8 seconds. There were times I wondered if it would ever get done. Frame-by-Frame it was put together and even though at times it was hard I had an amazing experience making this piece. Now I get to sit back and enjoy it. I am very proud of how the it turned out because I learned so much from it.
